TeamBuilders Conducts Leadership Development Program to Kick Off Leadership Westshore’s Newest Class
It’s the fifth time that TeamBuilders has conducted the program for Leadership Westshore, which it co-sponsors.
PALM HARBOR, Fla. (PRWEB) January 20, 2006 -- TeamBuilders, a performance development company based in Palm Harbor, Fla. and the Boston area, announced today it has conducted one of its custom leadership conferences for Leadership Westshore, a program sponsored by the Westshore Alliance.
Nick Conner, TeamBuilder’s vice president for program development, said it was the fifth time that TeamBuilders had helped launch Leadership Westshore, a program designed to identify and help prepare professionals for significant leadership roles within the community and in business. TeamBuilders co-sponsors Leadership Westshore, Conner said.
“Once again we were delighted to play a significant role in launching Leadership Westshore, a program that is essential to providing the Westshore area with creative and dedicated leaders,” Conner said.
This year, TeamBuilders conducted its program at Tampa’s A La Carte Event Pavilion for a group of 26 Leadership Westshore participants, he said.
“Our objective in this program was modeled after Kouzes and Posner’s Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership – modeling the way, challenging the process, inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart,” Conner said. “We do it through interactive activities – action learning is very much a part of the program. We present the theory, and the participants do the activities that put it all into practice.”
Ann Kulig, director of marketing for the Westshore Alliance, said the TeamBuilders program always provide a great launch to the Leadership Westshore program, which takes six months to complete.
“TeamBuilders does an outstanding job of facilitating and kicking off the Leadership Westshore program, which is designed to inspire people to give to the community,” Kulig said.
TeamBuilders is a member of the Westshore Alliance and has been involved in every Leadership Westshore graduating class since 2001, Conner said.
