Bruce Clay Elected to SEMPO Board

Veteran SEM professional will serve on the SEMPO Board of Directors.

Wakefield, Massachusetts (PRWEB) February 29, 2008 -- Search engine optimization and marketing leader Bruce Clay has been named to the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization's 2008 Board of Directors. Clay is the president and owner of Bruce Clay, Inc., and has helped lead the SEM industry by creating the downloadable Search Engine Relationship Chart and the SEO Code of Ethics, and by offering training curriculum that includes a certification program to promote ethical SEO practices.

"SEMPO has helped focus the efforts of our collaborative industry. Through my position on the Board of Directors, I will continue to share my experience and knowledge as I actively support and promote the group's goals," Clay said. "I personally believe in the mission of SEMPO and am honored to officially represent this important organization."

SEMPO, founded in 2002, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the search engine marketing industry through education and awareness. Board members volunteer to hold office for two years, with the upcoming term beginning March 12. Votes from SEMPO members were accepted on the SEMPO Web site from February 6 to February 15. While 12 of the 13 members on the Board of Directors ran for reelection, ten of the positions were awarded to incumbents. The Board of Directors is in charge of SEMPO's budget, membership, initiatives and member benefits.

Along with the honor of being elected to the SEMPO board, Clay runs the 2007 Inc. 5,000 company, Bruce Clay, Inc., from company headquarters in Simi Valley, California.
