Athletic Republic's Brand Of Performance Sports Training Goes To University And Joins The U.S. Army
Corporate partnership showcases Athletic Republic's football-specific training programs at two of America's premier youth and high school football venues.
Fargo, ND (PRWEB) November 11, 2008 -- In a joint statement issued today, Athletic Republic CEO Charlie Graves and Football University (FBU) and SportsLink President Rich McGuinness announced two all-star partnerships. Athletic Republic facilities across the United States will become the official performance sports training centers for Football University, and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, to be held on January 3, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas.
"In just a few short years, Rich McGuinness and his team have developed two tremendous programs for youth and high school football players," said Graves. "When you add our football-specific training protocols to the mix, you've got a tremendous training platform that will prepare players to make the most of their Football University learning experience, which will in turn see the best of those players showcasing their skills someday in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl."
Graves added: "Football University offers thousands of America's best youth, middle school and high school football players the opportunity to be coached, by position, by former NFL players and coaches. We look forward to complementing FBU's focus on athlete development by adding our science-based testing methodologies, proprietary equipment and training techniques to the FBU offering."
"We are thrilled with this new partnership. Football University and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl strive to train and enhance the nation's elite athletes - something Athletic Republic focuses on every day," said President of SportsLink, Rich McGuinness. "Athletic Republic is an organization with like-minded goals and objectives and we feel this reinforces and plays to each company's strengths. Our intent has always been to provide a 'career changing' experience, and the addition of Athletic Republic's year-round approach to football training will help every player maximize their potential."
Every participant in the FBU mini-camps will be exposed to Athletic Republic's specialized football training program--from pre-camp assessment of gait, stability, strength and power, through mini-camp experiences that will enhance every athlete's speed, power, agility and playmaking skills, to a sit-down, post-camp evaluation with each player and his parents.
As part of its sponsorship of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Athletic Republic will provide technology support for the U.S. Army National Combine, held in conjunction with the All-American Bowl. During the National Combine, 500 elite underclassmen will undergo on-field testing, measurements and positional drills that will be laser timed and videotaped by Athletic Republic, with same-day results and online access provided by Athletic Republic's proprietary Athlete Information Management System.
